Customs

Customs
As much as we would like to help you, the custom formalities at both the load and discharge port have to be arranged by yourself. The law states in most countries that clearance must be arranged by the current yacht owner or captain.
Sevenstar can provide you with assistance whenever possible and direct you to the best locally available custom broker. Thanks to the high annual volume, we have been able to negotiate the best possible rates for you.
Please make your arrangements as early as possible. Without proper clearance in place, your yacht will not be able to be loaded or discharged.
The following documents are normally required for customs clearance:
Certificate of registry
Copy of passport
Copy of commercial invoice (for VAT purposes)
Please contact our local port agent for the custom clearance except in Ft Lauderdale where please contact:
J P Reynolds Co Inc
101 SE 21st Street
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

Special customs requirement for Tortola BVI
Please leave a copy of the yacht documents on the chart table and in case you are leaving the BVI's a copy of the inward custom documents as well. Customs sometimes do an onboard spot check on the yachts to ensure all yachts have entered/leave the BVI legally.
